Tamnavulin 2000 - Cask 8

The seventh bottling has been chosen from a small selection of hand-picked cask samples by Richard Paterson from Tamnavulin distillery. The spirit was filled into a first-fill ex-bourbon cask in 2000 and re-racked into a German Spatburgunder Pinot Noir barrique for a further two years before being bottled after its 22 years maturation.

The spirit has not been chill-filtered and has been bottled at 52.3%. The outturn of the cask yielded 298 bottles, so Keepers will be limited to one bottle each.

Colour: Autumnal gold with a soft pink blush

Nose: Syrupy alcohol-soaked raisins with juicy peaches and a suggestion of dark chocolate – a genuine indulgence

Palate: Gentle explosion of sugary sweetness gives way to vanilla panna cotta and rich spices.

Finish: An exceptionally long, warming and deeply satisfying dram
