Learn more about our Partnership with The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland
Keepers of the Quaich work in collaboration with some of Scotland’s finest craftspeople and musicians. To encourage the next generation, Keepers of the Quiach are proud to sponsor scholarships at Scotland National Conservatoire.

Our Partnership
The Keepers of the Quaich Scholarship, which was established in 2012 with the Department of Traditional Music at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland to recognise and support emerging talent.
The partnership has gone from strength to strength, allowing students and graduates of exceptional ability and potential the chance to invest in resources, further training, travel, recording, and meet other costs associated with early careers in performance.
This backing has also allowed the recipients to perform for large international audiences in the Grand Hall of Blair Castle, one of the most revered performance venues in the United Kingdom. These experiences can be transformative and career-shaping.
The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland cherishes its partnership with the Keepers of the Quaich and the opportunities it affords to some of Scotland’s most innovative musical voices. The house band Spirit of the Quaich which is made up of alumni of the scholarship plays biannually at the banquets.
